Dr. Anita Naik Madhav
After completing the AEGD residency, Dr. Madhav joined a private practice in Oklahoma working with two twin dentists - which was comical because she has a twin who is a dentist practicing in Phoenix. After 4 years of practicing in Oklahoma, Dr. Madhav decided to start her own practice, which she did, here in pleasant Plano in May of 2000. Since then she has opened a brand new state-of-the-science office and has a strong growing patient base that she enjoys treating. Her hobbies include photgraphy, gardening, cooking and traveling. In order to pursue her dental education, Dr. Madhav came from Zambia to Oklahoma in 1988. She did her undergraduate at South Western Oklahoma State University, after which she was accepted into the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry (OUCOD). She graduated from OUCOD in 1994 and was accepted into the highly selective Advanced Education in General Dentistry program (AEGD). This gave her the opportunity to treat, in the course of one additional demanding year, many diverse patients with complex dental needs, gaining valuable clinical experience that would otherwise take many years to accomplish.
